ECTS Diploma Supplement
The European Higher Education Area envisaged by the Bologna Process aims to create an easily understandable and comparable higher education diploma and degrees, to develop the network of quality assurance systems and the European dimension in higher education, to implement the European Credit Collection and Transfer System (ECTS), to ensure the mobility of students and lecturers.
ECTS is a student-centered system defined according to the task and workload assigned to the student in order to achieve the goals set by the education program. ECTS makes it possible to make comparisons and measurements between learning processes, and ensures that the credit value appraised for learning is transferred from one institution to another.
The ECTS Diploma Supplement is a document given in addition to the diploma and assists the relevant institutions and organizations in recognition of diplomas and degrees obtained from abroad in order to reinforce international transparency.
