Application Criteria
Mathematics Ph.D. Program (with Master's degree): To have a master's degree with a thesis from one of the fields of Science, Education or Engineering. At least 70 ALES Quantitative Score (not older than 5 years) or at least 153 GRE General Test Quantitative Score (not older than 5 years). Foreign Language Exam Score at least 55 YDS, e-YDS, YÖKDİL English Score (not older than 5 years) or at least 66 TOEFL (IBT) Score (not older than 2 years). Percentage Effects of Evaluation Criteria: ALES Quantitative Score 50%, Graduate Grade Point Average 20%, Online Interview 30%.
Mathematics Ph.D. Program (with Bachelor's Degree): To have a bachelor's degree from one of the departments of Science, Science-Literature, Education, Engineering Faculties. At least 80 ALES Quantitative Score (not older than 5 years) or at least 161 GRE General Test Quantitative Score (not older than 5 years) Foreign Language Exam Score at least 55 YDS, e-YDS, YÖKDİL English Score (not older than 5 years) or A TOEFL (IBT) Score of at least 66 (not older than 2 years). Graduation Average Minimum 3.00 (in the 4.00 system) or at least 76.66 (in the 100-grade system). Percentage Effects of Evaluation Criteria: ALES Quantitative Score 50%, Undergraduate Grade Point Average 20%, Online Interview 30%.
***In addition, candidates who wish to obtain a Ph.D. degree are advised to meet with faculty members working in their fields of interest before applying to the program and find a faculty member who agrees to advise them in the department.
